This listing is for a set of 4 custom twined placemats sure to brighten up your kitchen as well as add protection to your table.
I have a huge supply of colorful fabric to pick from and I am always adding new fabric. What color(s) will you choose?
I will need approximately 2 weeks to weave a set of four (4) 17.5" x 12.5" placemats and will keep you updated along the way.
Twined mats are made by wrapping or twinning material the vertical pieces (warp) of fabric on a loom. This rug is made from new and washed cotton material for both the warp and the weft (material running horizontal that is twined).
I machine stitch all of my joins rather than knotting them and all edges are turned in as I weave. These are totally reversible! And so very durable!!
Twined mats are very sturdy, lay flat and last for many years. If one side gets dirty, shake it out and flip it over, or throw it in the wash. They are all machine washable. Hang or lay flat to dry. Some customers put their placemats in the dryer with no adverse effects. There may be a slight amount of shrinkage, but nothing too drastic.
