This beautiful burgundy (or wine) and gray handcrafted, twined rug is sure to brighten any area of your home! This is certainly one of my favorites.
Twined rugs are made by wrapping or twinning material the vertical pieces (warp) of fabric on a loom. This rug is made from new and washed cotton material for both the warp and the weft (material running horizontal that is twined).
A lot of hours go into making a twined rug --- 18 to 20 hours for me to make a rug 36" x 24" --- but that's nothing compared to the years of enjoyment you will get out of a twined rug.
Twined rugs are very sturdy, lay flat and last for many years. If one side gets dirty, shake it out and flip it over, or throw it in the wash. This rug is machine washable. Hang or drape over a railing or chair to dry.

I am THRILLED with this rug! It is beautiful in my kitchen and so finely crafted! I am as happy as I can be that I was able to buy rugs hand made with cotton in the USA. The price is more than reasonable for this fine quality rug. I can tell it will stand up to, well, being a rug and will wash fine, no dryer. It is a good sized rug so it has some weight to it and it stays in place. And shipping was fast and free! it got here very fast.
