This beautiful handcrafted, twined rug is sure to brighten any area of your home! Another one of my favorites. This one is dark green and peach with just a bit of white.
Twined rugs are made by wrapping or twinning material the vertical pieces (warp) of fabric on a loom. This rug is made from new and washed cotton material for both the warp and the weft (material running horizontal that is twined).
A lot of hours go into making a twined rug --- 18 to 20 hours for me to make a rug 36" x 24" --- but that's nothing compared to the years of enjoyment you will get out of a twined rug.
Twined rugs are very sturdy and should last for a very long time. If one side gets dirty, shake it out and flip it over, or throw it in the wash. This rug is machine washable. I usually hang my rugs to dry.
